Updating Account Details (Client Area)

How to Manage Your Apexhost Account Details

Your Apexhost account details control important information in the Client Area, including your contact details, billing information, contacts, sub-accounts, password and security settings. Keeping these details accurate helps ensure you receive service notices, invoices, domain renewal reminders and support updates.

This guide explains what you can update from the account details area and when each option should be used.

Before You Begin

Make sure you can log in to the Apexhost Client Area using the account you want to manage. Some account settings may only be available to the main account holder or to users with the required permissions.

To manage your Apexhost account details:

1. Log in to the Apexhost Client Area.

3. Select Edit Details.

4. Review the available account settings and update the details you need to change.

5. Save your changes before leaving the page.

What You Can Update

Contact Details

You can update your primary contact information, such as your name, email address, phone number and billing address. This information is used for account communication, invoices and service notifications.

Sub-Accounts

If sub-accounts are used on your account, you can update who has access and what permissions they have. Sub-accounts are useful when another person needs to access billing, support tickets or service management without sharing the main account login.

Contacts

You can manage additional contacts if they are used on your account. Contacts can be useful for billing, technical or administrative communication, depending on how your account is configured.

Credit Card Details

You can update your saved credit card details from the account details area. You can also access this option by selecting Manage Credit Card from the My Account menu in the top-right corner of the Client Area.

Client Area Password

You can change your Client Area password if you need to improve account security or if you believe your current password may no longer be secure. Use a strong, unique password that is not used for other services.

Security Questions

You can update your Client Area security questions where this option is available. Choose answers that are memorable to you but difficult for others to guess.

Best Practices

* Keep your email address current so you do not miss renewal notices, invoices or important service updates.

* Review sub-account access regularly and remove users who no longer require access.

* Use a strong, unique password for your Apexhost Client Area account.

* Update payment details before a card expires to help avoid failed invoice payments.

* Make sure billing and technical contacts are assigned correctly if multiple people manage your services.

Troubleshooting

I cannot see an option to edit a setting

You may not have the required permissions, or you may be logged in as a sub-account with limited access. Log in as the main account holder or ask the account owner to update your permissions.

My payment details will not save

Check that the card details are entered correctly and that the card has not expired. If the issue continues, contact Apexhost Support for assistance.

I updated my email address but did not receive messages

Check your spam or junk folder and confirm the email address was saved correctly. You may also need to allow messages from Apexhost in your mail provider or security software.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I give another person access to my Apexhost account?

Yes. If sub-accounts are available on your account, you can create or update a sub-account and assign the appropriate permissions.

Can I update my credit card without editing all account details?

Yes. You can access credit card management from the account details area or by selecting Manage Credit Card from the My Account menu.

Should I share my main Client Area password with someone else?

No. If another person needs access, use a sub-account where possible so permissions can be managed separately.
