Forms: Sending emails from a form: Mail setting recomendations

Sending mail from forms using the Apexhost mail servers.

Note: This only applies to clients that are usning our mail system. If you are using your own mail system or Google apps for example you will need to use those settings and not these ones.

Rules:
Emails sent from a form on your website must follow these simple rules. Example email address used is jim@apexhost.net.au this is replaced with the email address you create.

1.. The from address must match the SMTP auth details. This means if you use jim@apexhost.net.au as your login then the email must come from jim@apexhost.net.au

.. You must use SMTP auth. You may need to contact your designer about this.
3.. The from or to address must be one we host. For example you can not send from jim@hotmail.com to dennis@gmail.com You can send from jim@apexhost.net.au to jim@hotmail.com or you can send from jim@hotmail.com to jim@apexhost.net.au

Mail server settings. (SSL preffered)

SMTP host: www.getmymail.com.au
SMTP user: any one of your email accounts
SMTP Pass: This is the password you used to create the above account.
SMTP Port: 465

Mail server settings (NON SSL)
SMTP Host: mail.apexhost.com.au
SMTP user: any one of your email accounts
SMTP Pass: This is the password you used to create the above account.
SMTP Port: 25
