Change folder Permissions

How to change folder permissions to allow either asp or asp.net to read/write to a file or folder.

1.. Login at http://control.apexhost.net.au (FTP user/pass in most cases)

2.. Click on File Manager then click on the domain name link then click on the www folder then navigate to the folder you wish to change permssions on.

3.. Click the padlock next to the folder/file to set permissions.

4.. If your application is classic asp or php click the Write tick box next to the domain name and click on set permissions.

5.. If your application is asp.net click the tickbox next to Network Service then click on set permissions button.

NOTE: if you require permissions on all sub folders and files select the "Replace permissions on all child objects" tick box.
